HEDERA CH/1

This is the first version of a cut-and-sew collection called Hedera, a year-long design project inspired by Black Americans striving for education in the 1950s and 60s, by Bascule. The collection explores tailoring and new pattern techniques, rethinking classic styles and the idea of the “ivy league.” Hedera Helix is the scientific name for common ivy, which climbs historical buildings and gardens towards sunlight. I directed the photography, marketing materials, and packaging for this collection.
